Comment:
Schistosoma mekongi egg in faeces 30 - 55 x 50 - 65 microns fully embryonated without an operculum and a minute latera spine near one end. (eggs are similar to S. japonicum eggs but are smaller) - saline preparation. Infection was found in a Laotian refugee in a Thai refugee camp.
